Information on Cookies

What are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that contain small amounts of information and are downloaded to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are then sent back to the website they came from on each future visit, or even to another website that recognises the cookie. Cookies are useful because they allow websites to recognise individual users' devices (such as passwords, the language chosen, font size, other display settings). Cookies thus allow a website to be adapted to your interests so that they do not have to be re-entered each time. Cookies are therefore used to perform computer authentications, monitor visits and observe the behaviour of users on a website. They may also include a unique identifier code that tracks users' navigation within the website for statistical or advertising purposes. While navigating the website, you may also receive cookies from other websites or web servers on your computer or mobile device (see 'Third-party cookies'). Some functionalities might not work or not work properly without cookies, so in certain cases they are technically necessary for the proper functioning of the website.

There are different types of cookies. According to their characteristics and functions, they can remain stored on your computer or on your mobile device for different lengths of time: the session cookies, which are automatically deleted as soon as the browser is closed; the so-called persistent cookies, which remain on the user's device until a predetermined time. Under current legislation in Italy, explicit consent is not always required for the use of cookies. In particular, the so-called 'technical' cookies do not require it, for example to transmit a message through an electronic communication network, or to provide a service explicitly requested by the user. They are, in other words, indispensable cookies for the proper functioning of the site or for activities requested by the user.

  • "Analytics cookies", used directly by the site operator to collect information regarding the number and behaviour of users of this very website.
  • Functional cookies: these cookies allow users to navigate based on a number of selected functions (such as language settings, the goods selected for purchase) with the purpose of improving the comfort and performance of the website.

For cookies oriented to the creation of user profiles for the creation of advertising messages, the prior consent of the user is required and is carried out in accordance with his preferences, which can be identified from the navigation.

What types of cookies do we use?

This website does not use cookies for profiling. In particular, this website uses

  • Technical cookies, i.e. for navigation or visits, mandatory for the proper functioning of the website or for the use of the content and services offered on the part of users.

Information received via cookies is not used to identify users. Cookies are only used for the purposes described above.

Cookie settings in the web browser

In addition, users can also decide via corresponding settings in the browser whether the cookies are blocked or deleted (in full or in part). However, if all or some cookies are disabled, it is possible that the website will not function properly or that certain services or functions will not be available. Users may have to manually enter some changes, information or preferences each time they visit. Below we have compiled links where you can find detailed information on how to disable cookies in popular browsers.
